Any lodge that has not paid First Half is currently suspended and will need to forward First Half and Last Half payment to become current. An Officer Roster must be submitted yearly to both the State and Grand Lodge. This is necessary to ensure that local lodges receive important information, membership cards and maintain access to the National FOP Member Information System. If your lodge does not submit an Office Roster, the Information System automatically removes elected officers when the TERM DATE (completed by the lodge) expires and your lodge will no longer have access to those functions. The award for the Member of the Year is the most prestigious acknowledgment that our membership can bestow on one of its own. It is an honor that is given each year, either at the midterm Board Meeting or at our National Conference. In 2018 the Member of the Year Award Committee will determine who will receive this distinguished award at the Fall National Board Meeting in Independence, Ohio. The Jack Dudek Member of the Year Award was established as a means of rewarding an individual member for his or her service and dedication to the community, his or her department, and the Fraternal Order of Police on the local, state and national levels.Nominations are to be submitted in resume form by a subordinate lodge stating the qualifications of the member being nominated for this award. The following guidelines are to be followed for the correct submission of an application and consideration by the committee for selection as Member of the Year.A. All applications must be submitted in legible typewritten form (five copies, please), giving all pertinent information as to why the members of your lodge feel the applicant should be considered for this prestigious award.B. All applications must be submitted by a subordinate lodge in good standing. No individual member shall submit his or her name as a nominee for this award.C. Nominees should be considered on the basis of his or her career in the law enforcement profession, his or her FOP involvement, and service to the community.D. Only active FOP members currently working in law enforcement or retired from law enforcement service shall be considered for this award. Retired law enforcement officers are to be considered as active members.E. All applications will be sent to the committee chairperson who will then disseminate copies to the selection committee members.F. In order to allow the committee ample time to read and consider each application, a cut-off date must be set for receiving applications.G. All applications must be received by the committee chairperson no later than six weeks prior to the first day of the Board Meeting or National Conference. The deadline for 2018 nominations is September 4th, 2018.H. After each committee member receives a copy of all properly submitted applications, the committee members will then advise the chairperson of his or her choice for the Fraternal Order of Police Member of the Year Award.I. The committee chairperson, after receiving each committee member's selection in writing, will advise the whole committee as to the applicant receiving the most votes and declare that individual the winner of the award.J. The chairperson of the committee will then advise the National President of the selection by the committee and will follow the directives of the National President as to preparations of the Member of the Year plaque.Jack Dudek Member of the Year AwardNomination Guidelines

Charity Begins at HomeThe Grand Lodge offers an electronic platform that makes it easy for members to support the National FOP Foundation, the National FOP PAC Fund and their State and Local FOP Foundations. The program is called GiveBack, and it provides a web-based platform for FOP Members to raise and donate money to the charitable and political causes that are most important to them. Since implemented, the program has raised thousands of dollars each month for both the National RFOP Foundation and National PAC Fund. In addition, state lodges are also receiving much needed funds for their state foundations. The GiveBack platform is a powerful tool for the FOP to promote our charities internallyto members, friends and family and to the general public. TASC has also speciallydeveloped a unique platform for promoting and receiving NFOP PAC Funds frommembers. The site empowers officers and their families to give more, and allows aconvenient way to promote our memorial services and other programs to the tens ofmillions of potential supporters nationwide.Members and non-members can set up recurring donations to their favorite charitiesand/or set money aside throughout the year for charitable giving. At year-end, GiveBackprovides a consolidated tax receipt, itemizing the tax deductions for each donor. Onlymembers can contribute to the FOP PAC Fund.A service fee of $1.00 per monthly transaction will be deducted from the donation.$5$5$5Cops Representing Cops
